Tupac Amaru Shakur (born in New York City, New York, United States, June 16, 1971 - died in Las Vegass, Nevada, United States, 13 September 1996 at age 25 years; born with the name Lesane Parish Crooks) was a rapper, actor , activist, and poet from the United States. He has a pseudonym 2Pac, Makaveli and 'Pac. In the Guinness Book of World Records she is known as the world's most successful rapper, as he sold more than 73 million albums worldwide, including 44.5 million in the U.S.. Most of the Shakur song written about violence in the ghettos, racism, social issues, and sometimes fight with other rappers.
He was born in New York City but moved to California in 1988. In 1990, he was recruited as a backup dancer for the group Digital Underground. His first album, 2Pacalypse Now, gained both praise and criticism for its controversial lyrics. In 1993 he was accused of raping a woman and brought to trial. The day before the decision was read, he was shot five times in Manhattan and seriously injured. Shakur suspect some people in the rap music industry and this started the East Coast-West Coast Feud. After serving for 11 months, Shakur was released from prison with fines paid by Marion "Suge" Knight, CEO of Death Row Records. In return Shakur have released 3 albums from that label, with his fifth album, All Eyez on Me, counted as two albums. On 7 September 1996, Shakur was shot four times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. On 13 September 1996, six days after being shot, Shakur died from respiratory failure and heart failure at University Medical Center, Las Vegas.
